In recent years, trips to Sydney have pretty much become an annual thing so I don’t know why it’s been 7 years since I last visited Bondi Beach – particularly since it’s so close to the city centre! I’m glad that after my visit here last month, it mostly remains the same if not even better than how I remembered. The pristine beach, laid-back atmosphere, big waves and clear turquoise waters are just a few of the things that collectively makes Bondi one of the best beaches in Australia. And, the people. I love the crowds here – locals, tourists, young and old; the lifesaver training, spotting the dozens of sandcastles being built.. I could go on. There’s a lot of positive energy in a place like this and it’s certainly infectious!

There is a beauty in visiting an untouched, private beach however once in a while, it’s a great feeling spending time at a place like Bondi Beach.

Bondi Icebergs (First picture)
Even if you aren’t here for a swim, you need to squeeze in a visit to Bondi Icebergs for the million dollar views alone – it’s absolutely phenomenal, especially at sunset and high tide. There building also includes a restaurant (they serve brunch!) and bar too.

The Bucket List (Last picture)
Located just at the back shore of Bondi Beach, this is a perfect spot to soak in the Bondi atmosphere and watch the crowds pass by. It can get pretty hectic but there is a lot of seating available so it shouldn’t be hard securing a table. If you spot a table with a few empty seats, don’t hesitate to ask if you can share the table, most people would happily oblige. The menu is quite extensive, with a great range of cocktails, beers and a food menu featuring some pretty decent seafood options – such as fish tacos and lobster rolls.
