*Not really your typical food van
Grub Food Van is a quirky eatery that is full of character and somewhere you may find yourself on a lazy weekend. Its more akin to a large eating area rather than a restaurant with the outdoor seating, warehouse-cross-greenhouse interior and an interesting selection of decor. I could not help but be amused by the seemingly endless plants and greenery, carpets that do not match and what looked like pre-loved toys and dolls dangling from the roof. It feels refreshingly unique.
The single menu is diverse and has something for everyone. A standout is the Mushroom burger which is served in a buttery brioche bun, with beetroot, lettuce, fetta cheese, house made mayo. The pairing of fetta cheese and the sweet, juicy mushroom is perfect. The watermelon lemonade is also a delight and just one of the many beverages available.
They do a good selection of coffee, beers and wines, too.
