I recently returned from a vacation in New York and have so much to share with you all!
The first stop of our trip was the Original Greenwich Village Food Culture Walking Tour, one of the most popular tours offered by Foods of New York Tours.
What attracted me to this part of town was not only the range of tastings offered but the history of the neighbourhood itself. In addition to being home to some of the best restaurants in the city, Greenwich Village is also known for its artistic history, jazz clubs and European style pre-war architecture.
The 3 hour tour was reasonably paced and gave us a taste of everything Greenwich Village has to offer in addition to some interesting stories along the way – it was a fantastic introduction to the city (and you most likely won’t need lunch after) and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting New York.
If you have watched Jiro Dreams of Sushi or Friends, you may be able to recognise a few places from the pictures below
