Newly renovated Albert & Sydney introduces a new sense of energy to the Brunswick dining scene, bringing a heightened focus to its cocktail and wine offerings together with great music, vibes and one amazing chicken parma
Stepping into Albert & Sydney (formerly Albert St Food and Wine), one of the things that will immediately catch your eye is the unique venue fitout.
Not only does the new space reflect the two unique personalities of Albert & Sydney, but it is also the result of a recent demographic shift in the area that has resulted in a growth of young professionals. With the new fitout, Albert & Sydney aims to inject new life into Sydney Road’s bar scene and create a venue with a part contemporary and industrial feel.
Divided into two distinct sections by an adjoining marble bar; the bar section features leather booths and stools whilst the dining room lends itself to a relaxed, bistro style dining. And as true a nod to Brunswick, Albert & Sydney also commissioned artwork by street artist Matthew Thompson which overlooks the entire bar.
When it comes to the food, the menu offers something for everyone with its sharing dishes, sliders, main dishes and a variety of side dishes. Some of the standouts include its charcuterie board, Moorish duck sliders and the showstopper chicken thigh parma.
With happy hour every Wednesday – Sunday between 5-7pm, it’s a great spot for after work drinks or nibbles.
