A few months ago, Zomato Australia reached 50,000 followers on Instagram and to celebrate, hosted a picnic with some of Melbourne’s food bloggers. Given the nature of the event, there was certainly no shortage of food and from the huge ice boxes and multiple picnic rugs set up from the start, it didn’t take us long to realise that the treats we’d be getting would be rather unique compared to the standard picnic fare.
From espresso martinis in a jar to paletas (Mexican ice cream on a stick) and the cutest bunny-shaped cake pops, this was no ordinary picnic and made me think – there really are no boundaries when it comes to these sorts of gatherings, right? Food boundaries, I mean.
